![]() ![]() Is a shame that you need to buy another holder.I would expect for this price to have everything. The film is still a bit curved and is so hard to make it stay straight. I have scanned on the same way (on top of the wedges) but for me it doesn't look like the right way to do it and not very professional. If the film is curved, it does make it a touch difficult to get right. I’ve been placing the film on top of the wedges and scanning like such. I never experienced such a bad customer service and they behave like robots (programmed to think that the customers are idiots and they always wrong). Maybe more people have to contact them with this problem and then they will understand that the holder is wrong. ![]() They keep telling me I'm using a wrong size of medium format film, like it can be different size. We have exchanged more than 17 emails over the last 2 weeks but they don't want to accept the problem. I did try to contact Epson regarding the MF holder but is extremely hard to communicate with them (at least in UK). Did no one at epson attempt to put a piece of film down and test the machine out? I do wonder how they screwed this holder up. I justify it with the fact that I’ll use the scanner everyday for years to come. Having to dish out more cash is a bummer. Another option is the Lomo holders but after you shell out the money for a new V800/850 you should not have to shell out more. Here's the Epson spec page for the scanner.Has anyone contacted Epson regarding the 120 film holders for the new V800? The film simply doesn’t fit into the guide as described in this review My only solution at the moment is to buy the better scanning holder (which I planned on getting eventually) I use the Epsonscan program that comes with the V850 PRo and have never used Silverfast although the less expensive version is included in the V850 package from Epson. I suppose it's scanned on the glass platen like the 8x10. I shoot 4x5, 120, and 35mm and don't shoot 5x7 that so I don't know how people scan it. Ģ.There's no holder specifically for 5x7. There are two holders for each format including 120 medium format. is the Silver Fast scanning program which is a demo for 30 odd days on a new scanner purchase a worthy purchase after the demo program has run its course? Again at this price point, the Silver Fast program should be a "purchased" item when the scanner is purchased rather than a demoġ. ![]() ![]() what are your suggestions for scanning 5x7BW negs on this scannerģ. at this price point, why is there no transparency holder for 2 1/4 slides-I understand one can separate the holder from the tranny & using the existing transparency holder provided for this sized film but. Some basic questions regarding the Epson scannerġ. ![]()
